The university’s library system is a central pillar of academic teaching and research. Its task is to preserve existing knowledge and academic works, to make them accessible, and to make them available to the university’s users.
Because of the importance of this university-wide task, the senate appointed a commission to ensure that available resources are coordinated and used efficiently, that the university library environment continues to develop and that advantages of technological, organisational and economic change can be recognised and implemented early on. The commission supports the university’s active information strategy.
The Reglement (PDF in German) regulates the tasks, competencies, composition and operation of the Library Commission.
