In over 550 years, many treasures have been collected in our repositories, which we cherish and care for with great pleasure. The collection of manuscripts and incunabula is one of the largest and most valuable in Switzerland. The map collection contains important unique items from the history of cartography and the archives contain documents from personalities such as Queen Victoria of England, Erasmus of Rotterdam, Felix Platter, Marie Curie and many more.
This section showcases collections that go beyond individual categories of material and are characterised by their shared origin, a collector, or a thematic focus.
